June In Review

Dear Members,

The month of June was a very slow month and that gave us the opportunity to do as many much-needed improvements and repairs at the Resort. We also had some rain which was actually needed as the island was very dry.

Update Projects:

• Pure Certification continues based on availability of rooms.

• Carpentry repairs to seal the ceiling in the patios to avoid moisture problems between the walls in the suites are also in progress.

• We are currently painting and repairing railings of the suites at Phase 2 facing the pool.

• As part of the refurbishing project, the installation of new toilets at the Ambassador Wing and Phase 1 is complete. We also completed fifth, fourth and third floor of Phase 2 and currently busy with second floor.

• The wooden ceiling at the main entrance has been repainted.

• To make access to the main pool easier, we lowered the coping (top part of the pool) at the entrance by the steps from one end to the other.

Your Own Hair Dryer:
Very shortly all the suites will have a wall-mounted hairdryer installed in the bathroom. In the Presidential suites each bathroom will have its own hairdryer. The hairdryers were ordered and will be installed upon arrival.

Result Annual General Member’s Meeting:
Agenda Point #1:
2098 votes “for”, 152 votes “against” and 19 abstained for a total of 2269 votes.
Agenda Point #2:
2091 votes “for”, 159 votes “against” and 19 abstained for a total of 2269 votes.
Agenda Point #3:
1806 votes “for”, 413 votes “against” and there were 50 abstentions for a total of 2269 votes.

Club Dues Billing and Special Assessment:
Billing of the Club Dues and the second installment of the Special Assessment will go out shortly. We ask you to note the separate bank accounts for easier credit and administration. Please pay on time in order to avoid penalties.

Father’s Day Celebration:
During a celebration in the Frank Conway Room, we elected our Father of the Year for 2010 which honor went to Daniel Feliz our Security Supervisor. Our congratulations to him.

Employee of the Month for April and May 2009 and Supervisor of the Quarter:
We recently elected our Employee of the Month for the month of April 2010 which honor went to Cyril Nivilac of the Maintenance Department and for the month of May 2010, Maria Moscoso-Pablo from the Housekeeping Department. We also elected our Supervisor of the Quarter which award went to Manuela Peters of the Housekeeping Department. Our congratulations to all of them.
